Three local students from Carmel High School, Carmel, and Ben Davis High School, Indianapolis, have been named to the U.S. Army All-American Marching Band (AAMB), making them three of the top 97 senior musicians in the country.

By being named to the AAMB, the students are participating in the Army's largest outreach program. The All-American Bowl is a game that honors the top 97 musicians, the top 90 high school senior football players, and the unique strength of every Army Strong Soldier.

To celebrate their selections, the students will be honored by the U.S. Army and their peers during induction ceremonies at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, 2008 at Carmel High School and 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at Ben Davis High School.

The students, standout piccolo and clarinet players, will join the other band members in San Antonio on Jan. 3rd, 2009, to perform during the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, the premier high school bowl game of the nation. They will also have the opportunity to meet and practice with the official Army Field Band in preparation for the event.
